The data, extracted from Softonic’s own user metrics, reveals a snapshot of the most popular applications and the changes in their download numbers from January and September this year compared to the same period in 2022.

Pocket, a content discovery app, saw a 98% increase in downloads, while Hive, a project management tool, saw a 79% increase. Pomodone, a productivity app, saw a 48% increase. Notion, a note-taking and project management app, saw a 13% increase, while Slack, a communication tool, saw a 37% growth. Other apps like Evernote, Google Docs, and Google Drive experienced falls, while Google Drive saw a 37% growth.
